Youth StreetReach & Here Now Ministries

Our Annual picnic was a huge success. We served 128 hamburgers and 120 hot dogs plus all sorts of other assorted salads and desserts donated by our volunteers. Youth from Our Lady of Victory and Holy Trinity plus volunteers from lots of other places joined to greet our many guests. The drivers picked up folks at St Joseph's Shelter, CHAMP, Baybridge, and just about anyone on Main Street Hyannis who wanted a free meal and some hospitality. The two bicycles donated by Carol Richardson in memory of her husband were again received with lots of hugs. One of our winners of the free raffle immediately said she would be giving it to her friend who had just had his bicycle stolen. There were all sorts of donations available and pretty much everything was given away. This may have been the largest group we have had! Thanks go out to everyone who donated food, gift cards, paper goods, etc. It was all appreciated. Our fall schedule of breakfasts will begin on Saturday September 28th at 7 am at the First Baptist Church, 486 Main Street. Anyone interested in more information can reach out to Marilyn Lariviere at the contact information below.

Here Now Ministries

It’s Summer on Cape Cod, as was clear by the increase in the number of people and motorcycles on Main street during our last two worship services!!!

In May and June, we had the pleasure of Cotuit Federated Church joining us for fellowship and worship. In May they provided a wonderful fellowship lunch and then in June offered worship and reflection on walking with Jesus and breathing in the knowledge that Jesus is with us in all of the times of our lives. We are also so grateful for all the folks who offer donations, gift cards, and snacks at our worship services.

The upcoming service will be Sunday, August 25 at the First Baptist Church, 486 Main St, Hyannis.

Donations needed for the Summer Months:

  • Gently used or New T Shirts for men and women, all sizes

  • White cotton socks

  • Gift Cards in $10.00 amount to Cumberland Farms, Job Lot, Dunkin

  • Sun Screen, Bug Spray or wipes, deodorant.

Donations can be brought directly to Here Now Services at the dates and times listed above, or email Pam at pamwannie@comcast.net to make alternative arrangements. All other clothing donations can be offered at our Youth Street Reach Events.

We continue to seek church support in offering these services, and are enthusiastic about collaboration with ministers and lay leaders. We ask that you attend at least one service before you offer worship. Please contact Pastor Pam for additional information at pamwannie@comcast.net.

Blessings,
Rev. Pam Wannie
