Nurturing Love & Devotion

Covenant to Care for Foster Families has participated in several festivals and fairs over the course of the summer, including the recent International Festival. This was a fun community event where lots of people gathered on the Village Green of Hyannis to celebrate the uniqueness of different cultures. Many non-profit organizations were also present and sharing their resources with attendees. Also in July, we shared a table with the Cape Cod Neighborhood Support Coalition at the Barnstable County Fair. I had some wonderful interactions with some foster families and grandparents raising grandchildren who were attending the fair. I did some great networking and met some members of the non-profit organization Falmouth Community TV in an event organized by the Philanthropy Partners of Cape Cod. Covenant to Care for Foster Families also participated in the Community Engagement Resource Fair on July 31 at the Cape & Islands Association of Realtors.

We have begun planning for fall projects and events. The Organizing Committee is planning a fundraiser event for the Fostering a Dream Fund, to be held in early November 2024. The Fostering a Dream Fund is overseen by Covenant to Care and provides financial assistance with summer camp fees, school club and sports supplies, as well as various other needs for foster children. I will be announcing the details of this fundraiser soon so you can participate! I am recruiting 3 more members for the Organizing Committee of the Fostering a Dream Fund. Please contact me if you are interested! You can support the Covenant to Car for Foster Families Program by donating to the Fostering a Dream Fund or by volunteering as a liaison to support Foster Families.

If you are interested in supporting this ministry, please contact Covenant to Care for Foster Families.

Thank you and have a wonderful, blessed Summer.
