Edye Nesmith
Executive Director
The Council is led by Executive Director Edye Nesmith, of East Sandwich, who assumed this role in 2015. Edye earned her Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from Yale University in New Haven, Conn., and her Master’s in Social Work degree from Smith College in Northampton, Mass.
Edye has a rich background in business, religious and nonprofit projects. She is the child and sister of clergy and has “always valued a Christian spiritual life as a source of understanding one’s place in the world.” She is passionate about ecumenical work that enables a broad spectrum of the Christian community to work together in ministry to help those among us who struggle for a firm footing.
She is the proud mother of two adult daughters.
