Marilyn Lariviere

Program Director, Homeless Ministries

Marilyn Lariviere, who directs the Council’s Homeless Ministries, is a native Cape Codder and graduate of Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School. Married to Edward for 60 years, they have four children (all living in Barnstable), 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Marilyn has been involved with the Cape Cod Council of Churches since 1980, serving as a Board member and as President of the Board. Since 2014, she has been a staff member directing the Youth StreetReach Program, which she founded in 2007.

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Religion/Education from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and has worked as Director of Christian Education at North Falmouth Congregational Church, the Federated Church of Hyannis, and St. John the Evangelist Church in Pocasset. A parishioner at Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville, she was the first Roman Catholic national president of Church Women United (CWU) and currently serves as president of CWU of Cape Cod. Her passion for working with youth led her to many years of directing various youth retreats as well as with the Residents Encounter Christ program at the Barnstable County Correctional Facility.
